Trek

Trek.jpg
Trek is amazing! He was finding and retrieving birds at 16 weeks old. He is a bird fanatic. Everyone loves him. Never a hint of concern over gun noise.

He is at home wherever we go.

Our Christmas pheasant hunt was a success! Trek flushed 13, we got 8. Great morning hunt for the boys.

Trek is everything and more than we hoped for.

Kokomo

“Kokomo has a strong, natural hunting instinct. She’s amazing in the house, amazing in the car, and at this point [8 months old] she has the potential to be the best dog I’ve ever owned. And I’ve had some really great dogs!”
— John L. from Noxon, Montana

Taxi

“First pheasant of the day, flushed by Taxi. We limited & Taxi did great. Not afraid of gunshots at all! Loves using her nose on the ground & up for body scent.

We’re VERY pleased with Taxi! She’s a great family pup as well as great hunter. She’s very determined to face and master challenges. Impressive little character!”

Cooper

“Cooper is doing well and has been busy in an AKC Tricks class and a K9 Nose class. He loves both! Next Sunday he will be tested for his Novice and Intermediate AKC Tricks certificate.

He can jump through hoops, over bars, run thru tunnels, close doors, turn on lights, back up, spin, sit pretty, high five, rollover, crawl, weave through legs, sit, stay, fetch and many, many more.

We are amazed at how much he loves to learn. We are thinking about training him to be a therapy dog. He is so good with people and enjoys greeting everyone we meet.

He’s such a great dog!”

Dodie

“We are so pleased to have Dodie as a new member of our family. She has such a sweet personality! We sent Dodie back to Scott for about a month for basic training where she started to learn how to swim and retrieve. This was super helpful and Dodie hasn’t stopped learning since.

Having recently purchased a boat to hunt ducks, Scott met us at a lake a couple of different times to continue assisting with Dodie’s training. Dodie was quite eager to hop right into the boat. At 10 months old, she is really starting to get the hang of retrieving ducks out of the river.

Based upon Dodie’s progress so far, we are confident she will be an accomplished duck retriever. Thank you, Scott and Carrie for all your help!”

Daisy

Daisy came into our family as a service animal/companion/comfort for our son with autism. She has been an amazing addition to the family. She is especially eager to please, trained very quickly, and is as clever as a fox (the poodle in her). Imagine our amazement when she started to use “tools”... she regularly lodges a water buffalo horn into the hollow of a round chew-toy in order to get it to stand upright so she can gain the best chewing angle! Holy cow!

Daisy is incredibly loyal and focused as well. No matter where we go, she can remain off-leash and will not leave my son’s side. When he is running... in the yard or at he park... she always stays right next to him.

The lab in Daisy LOVES to retrieve (playing ball/fetch) and provides extra lovey-licks. She has an extremely soft mouth, and will take either of my sons by the hand if they try to stray... without biting, ever. Daisy is super loving and playful with the kids and our other dog, and is gentle with our cats, as well.

We highly recommend the pups bred by American Hunting Doodles!
