Started Gundog
Our Started Gundog program is compulsion and force fetch free, and covers all the core competencies required of a gundog to be ready to perform in the field on your first hunt together. During training your dog will be raised inside our home as a pack member within our family. Started Gundogs go home fully house trained, fully crate trained, well socialized, and ready to hunt with the following skills:
Basic commands (sit, stay, lay, come, heel).
Gun training - learning association of gun noise with retrieve.
Steadiness - waiting to retrieve until given release command.
Delivery to hand / hold conditioning.
Marked, unmarked, and blind retrieves.
Swimming - confidence in the water. Water retrieves, marked, unmarked, and blind.
Introduction to whistle stop and redirect.
Introduction to casting / hand signals.
Live bird retrieve - live hunt or released bird for flushing and retrieving.
Started Gundogs begin at $20,000. Final price determined by length of training and your objectives for the dog.
